About me
I love animals. I mean, I REALLY love animals- to me they are family. I offer professional, private, one-on-one, pet transportation as well as in home pet sitting and pet nanny services. Whether you prefer to have your pet arrive by plane or by car, I know how to travel with an animal and how to keep them safe!
My background is in social work and I left a career working with individuals with disabilities to focus on what I love even more - animals!
I have worked as a veterinary assistant and have done dog sitting and dog walking for decades (yes, I am in my 50's!) I am certified in animal CPR and First Aid and am USDA certified to transport. I have been background checked and fingerprinted several times in order to work for the State of Florida as a welfare eligibility officer and multiple times in my previous career working with people with disabilities. My "new" career does not necessarily require I have these credentials but can bring a certain peace of mind to my customers as they wave us goodbye! I have not received a traffic violation in over 30 years and operate with a clean driving record which I am happy to provide you and or your insurance company.
I am an avid reader of Professor Stanley Coren who's books on dog intelligence and behavior have opened my mind and heart to building strong and meaningful relationships not only with my own dogs, but with each of my charges as well!
A health certificate is not required for private transport with me however it is written in the contract I will provide, that you and your vet do in fact deem your pet to be healthy enough for long-distance travel. If you do have vaccination records you would like to provide that is always welcome (this not required for transport with me but should be available.)
My love for companion animals as well as farm animals has dictated my passions for as long as I can remember (again - for decades:;) It was not easy to make a career out of following my passion until Covid found me furloughed from my job and gave me time and space to realign my purpose and here I am, finally doing what I TRULY love! Please don't hesitate to ask me anything - I am here and willing to provide your pet with safe and reliable transport and questions and inquiries can build trust so again, please ask away!
